Independent Author FAQ

Frequently asked questions for independent authors publishing ebooks and audiobooks through GiftedPages4U.

Do I keep my copyright?

Yes. Under the standard program, authors retain copyright ownership while granting GiftedPages4U the rights described in the Author Publishing Agreement.

Is the agreement exclusive?

No, not under the standard agreement. You may normally distribute your work elsewhere unless a separate title-specific agreement says otherwise.

What percentage do I earn?

For eligible direct sales processed by GiftedPages4U, the standard split is 70% to the author and 30% to GiftedPages4U.

Are payment-processing fees deducted from my 70%?

Under the standard direct-sale model, ordinary GiftedPages4U checkout processing fees come from the platform's 30% share. Taxes, refunds, chargebacks, fraud, and amounts not collected are excluded before final earnings are determined.

How are subscriptions handled?

A subscription fee is not treated as a direct sale of every title accessed. If your work participates in membership compensation, the applicable creator-pool, usage-based, fixed-license, or other method will be disclosed separately.

Can my audiobook appear on Roku and Alexa?

Potentially. Supported titles may be eligible when technically compatible and approved. Device distribution is not guaranteed for every title.

Can I submit only an ebook or only an audiobook?

Yes, subject to current program availability and review.

Can GiftedPages4U reject my submission?

Yes. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. Rights, technical quality, formatting, metadata, audio quality, cover quality, platform fit, legal issues, or capacity may affect acceptance.

Can I choose my price?

You may propose pricing where supported. GiftedPages4U may establish ranges, promotional terms, or subscription availability under the Author Agreement.

When will I be paid?

The payout schedule, threshold, payment method, and required tax information will be provided in the dashboard or payout instructions before payouts are issued.

What happens after a refund?

Refunded or charged-back transactions do not produce final author earnings. A later reversal may be offset against future earnings under the Author Agreement.

Do I get customer payment details?

No. Publishing a title does not give an author unrestricted access to customer passwords or full payment-card information.

Can I remove my book?

Yes, under the standard non-exclusive agreement, subject to reasonable processing time and obligations related to completed purchases, refunds, accounting, legal records, or title-specific terms.
